You may have received a letter in the mail from the Domain Registry Of America informing you that your domain name is expiring soon, and you can have it renewed through their service for an annual fee, etc.
While the letter looks official, it is actually a bait and switch scam, designed to get you to renew your domain name with a different company than your current registrar at a much higher cost.
The Federal Trade Commission has barred this company, based in Ontario Canada, from continuing these deceptive solicitations.
